Here we go!

Jens Galschiøt and SevenMeters.net finaly marks the new water-level if all Greenland’s ice melts, 7 meters above today’s sea level. By hanging up linking LED-lights 7 meters above todays water level on several central routes in downtown Copenhagen and around Bella Center, the line will be seeable for all the COP15 participants.

Next weekend (5-6/12) is the days where we put up the blinking 7-meters line.

But we can’t do it alone. Therefore, we from the SevenMeters.net, hope that you will take some hours out of your calendar, to help us hang them up to show the climate summit (COP15) and Copenhagen what we can expect if we don’t pull ourselves together.

In return Sevenmeters promise to do everything we can to make it fun and comfortable and make sure that you don’t leave hungry. We serve coffee, tea and mulled wine against the cold, and Danish doughnuts for the stomach. If you are ready, then send me a mail on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Tell me what days and what time you are able to work, and your NAME and PHONENUMBER – That way it is easier to prepare and coordinate the event from the Gallery and “on the field”.

Plan;

Saturday 5/12;

10 Am - All gather at ‘The 3 refugees’ statues on the cross in the middle of Vejlands Allé and Ørestad Boulevard. We drink coffee, etc. We split into teams and begin.

13.00 -13.45 Pm – PAUSE and status by ‘The 3 refugees’-statues. We eat and drink and then we see how far we are.

13.45 -16.00 Pm – The set-up continues.

16.30 Pm – We meet at ’The 3 refugees’-statues again, catches the heat and end the day.

Sunday 6/12

10 Am – All gather at the green area at the start of Queen Louise’s bridge (towards the city). We drink coffee etc. We split into teams and begin.

13.00 -13.45 Pm – PAUSE status and Queen Louise Bridge. We eat and drink and find out how far we are.

13.45 -16.00 Pm – The set-up continues.

16.00 Pm – We meet at Queen Louise’s bridge again, catches the heat and end the day.

If you are busy aforementioned days but would like to help, we probably need help with some additional configuration during the week, and certainly on 20/12 where we again must take the lights down.

Sincerely

Jens Galschiøt and Seven Meters’ Crew
